Esotericism is not counterculture, but the inner workings of culture. 

 

New Age spirituality is an extension of a plague known as trivialization.  

 

Magic(k) and witchcraft are not synonyms. 

 

Nothing in my life has been so uniquely humiliating as the moment I realized I could name and photo identify almost all of the Kardashians, but not every wild plant growing in my own backyard.  

 

Herbal medicine is not “alternative”, but complimentary; prescription antibiotics are absolutely necessary sometimes, but you don’t really need to give yourself liver damage to treat a headache. 

 

If it feels like the world as we knew it is ending, that’s because it is. It’s happened many times before, and will happen again. Winter always turns to spring. :)

 

A man’s moral compass is weak, vapid, and useless if plagiarized from religion alone; religion should affirm a one’s pre-existing morality, rather than be its source.

Intelligence is a virtue of both men and women. Masculine intelligence is marked by innovation, and feminine intelligence is marked by cultivation. 

 

Your morals should be unwavering, but your ethics should remain subject to constant change for improvement and refinement. 

 

The animalistic aspects of our humanity, although important, shouldn’t be embraced in excess. A stupid man is no better than an ape. 

There are many mediums of which a woman can exert autonomy and self-expression that do not contradict a healthy nature.

When rebellion against the laws of man mainstreams, the only things left to transgress are the laws of nature. 

 

A flock of black sheep is still a flock.

Depression isn’t a choice, but fulfillment is a learned skill. No one chooses to drown, but they must learn to swim. 

 

“Mental health awareness” has given people permission to, not accept the presence of mental illness, but to accept the mental illnesses themselves. 

 

You cannot invent an identity for yourself and then expect the world to view you as oppressed when it’s simply a foreign concept to them. Your identity issues are nobody’s burden but your own. 

 

A disturbingly large portion of us have codified our entire personalities down to neatly packaged social media-esque buzzwords, and have programmed ourselves, willingly, to have no substance beyond that.
